Correct Interpretation of the Trinity

In one of the Anti World Mission Society Church of God sites they try to discredit the teaching of the Trinity, by calling it “Modalism”.

They say that the World Mission Society Church of God interpretation of the Trinity goes against mainstream Christianity. But since when has mainstream become truth? I mean mainstream Christianity believes Jesus was born December 25th, and they celebrate Christmas, yet this does not make it True. Click here for the history of Christmas.

So I decided to write this post to show how confused “mainstream Christians” are about the Trinity. Listen to this and tell me is not confusing, and I quote:

“The mainstream Christian doctrine of the Trinity is one God in three eternal, coexistent Persons, each distinct from the other yet all together one God.”

This sounds like there is three different people who liven in the same house. So they believe there is three different Gods, but they are the same. In other words, Son Jesus is not Father Jehovah, but they are the same. WHAT???? This is so confusing. Through the Bible we can see that Jesus is the Father Jehovah who has come in the flesh.

Jeremiah31:31 — “The time is coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”

The Father Jehovah said that  He would make a new covenant. He did not say His son was going to make a new covenant. However it was Jesus the one who made the new covenant.

Luke 22:20 — In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

Thus Jesus Christ is Jehovah God who has come in the flesh. one more example:

Isaiah 40:3 — A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. (Malachi 3:1)

and every Christian knows that this prophecy was fulfilled in John the Baptist who prepared the way for Jesus Christ.

Matthew 3:1-3 — In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’” (Luke 1:76)

According to the prophecy the Father Jehovah was coming but the one who came was Jesus Christ. Thus Jesus Christ is Jehovah God. and the disciples understood this (Romans 9:5, Philippians 2:5-7)

Another silly explanation for the trinity So they came up with an explanation called the Venn Diagram as seen below:

Trinity in Venn Diagram 300x214 Correct Interpretation of the TrinityVenn Diagrams are used to explain the combination of two different things, example, White and Black combined make Gray. So if we apply it to the Trinity, Father Jehovah Son Jesus combined make something new?

This is so contradictory to the biblical interpretation that Christ is the fullness of the Deity in bodily form(Colossians 2:9). The Bible did not say that Christ a part of the Deity in bodily form. Two verses explain this interpretation to be incorrect:

Isaiah 44:6 — “This is what the LORD says — Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD almighty: I am the First and I am the last; apart from the there is no God.

Revelation 22:13 — I (Jesus) am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

With the Venn Diagram you cannot explain that Jesus and Jehovah both claim to be the first. If they both have the same beginning it means that they are the same one. If their interpretation of Father Jehovah and Son Jesus is incorrect then their interpretation of the Holy Spirit is also incorrect.

The true essence of God is the Spirit (John 4:24). The Spirit of God played the role of the Father in the Old Testament, that Holy Spirit came in the flesh as Jesus.

But some skeptics who understand the Holy Bible in fragments think that Jehovah and Jesus are separate entities because of Jesus praying, or the voice that spoke from Heaven when Jesus was baptized. God came as the Son of God, to give us the example of how to live as children of God (John 13:15, 1 Peter 2:21). Also because God comes in the flesh it does not mean He is not in heaven anymore, God is omnipresent do not forget.

If we do not have a full understanding of the Trinity, it is difficult to recognize the mystery of God the Almighty.

“Modalism” is word made up by men, just like Christmas and Easter. please do not be deceived by high sounding nonsense of the Anti World Mission Society Church of God sites.
