Analyzing the Claims

The key beliefs of the World Mission Society Church of God might seem very different and strange to those who are reading them for the first time. Most of the articles that you will read are statements you have never heard of, or that you could have never imagined being true. But please don’t be quick to judge, and claim the beliefs to be false, just for the fact that they are different than yours.

Various claims have been made against the World Mission Society Church of God! Why? Because this organization believes that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ and that Mother Jerusalem is the female image of God. These are facts that can be proven through the Bible. But in order to get a better understanding, let us analyze Christianity as a whole.

Christianity is a religion that believes that God comes in the flesh, as a human being. Even till this day the Jewish faith expects the Messiah to come; however, Christians believe he already came.

Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, and the Savior who was to come. Nowadays, it’s very easy to believe in the name of Jesus Christ. Why? Simply because the name Jesus Christ is easily found in the New Testament.

However, now we will try to understand Jesus Christ as he was seen 2,000 years ago. Why couldn’t people believe in Him even though he made such amazing miracles; even to raise someone from the dead?

2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ appeared to the nation of Israel. At that time the Jewish faith was very unique, because compared to other religions of the time, they were the only ones who believed in only one creator God. The name of the God of Israel was Jehovah. And the way the Israelites knew Jehovah, was through the words of the prophets found in the Bible. Jehovah delivered them from bondage, and performed amazing miracles and wonders throughout their history. Let us see what they read about Jehovah God every Sabbath.

1. Deuteronomy 4:35
You were shown these things so that you might know that the Jehovah is God; besides him there is no other.

2. Deuteronomy 4:39
Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Jehovah is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.

3. Isaiah 44:8
Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”

4. Isaiah 45:22
“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

5. Isaiah 46:9
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.

6. Hosea 13:4
“But I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me.

Keep in mind that when Jesus appeared, the New Testament didn’t exist. And this is what they knew about Jesus at that time:

A Jewish carpenter around the age of 30 goes down to a river, gets baptized by crazy man name John the Baptist and now claims that he is Jehovah God (John 10:30). He is single his whole life, he hangs around prostitutes, tax-collectors, fisher men, crippled, he rides around in a donkey, he fixed your door one year ago, you saw him grow, your children played with him, he lived in your town, and you know his parents, and he did not go to the Sanhedrin to study nor received any formal schooling. Would you really believe he is your Messiah, God in the flesh? Try explaining that to the Romans, like apostle Paul did. At that time the Romans considered the Jews an inferior race. Try telling them that a person of an inferior race, who died crucified, was God who has come to give eternal life. How would they respond?

Today every Christian proclaims Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Now here’s the million-dollar question… Would you have believed in Him, if you lived 2,000 years ago? Can you confidently say that you would feel no shame to say that your God is a Jewish carpenter whom only spoke Aramaic and was crucified like a criminal?

Even with all of these claims, does it really matter? According to Bible prophecy, He is God.

According to the view point of the world, Jesus Christ is no different than any other carpenter who lived in Israel 2,000 years ago. But according to the Bible prophecy, He is the Messiah, God in the flesh.

Today people make the same mistake by judging Christ Ahnsahnghong and Mother Jerusalem. By worldly standards they are no different than any Korean. But according to Bible prophecy, they are the Saviors in the age of the Holy Spirit.

2 Co 5:16 < So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.>
